Mr. Gaster has $5 in his piggy bank and wants to put $45 every week into the piggy bank. Make you equation showing how much money he will have at any number of day. Solve your equation to show the total amount of money Mr. Gaster will have in 28 days in his piggy bank. Make sure to show your work.

    So your starting amount is 5. Your equation will start like this:

    5+

    Now 45 dollars a week. So no matter how many weeks you are going to multiply it by 45. So you add that in and you have an equation that looks like this:

    5+45x

    X stands for the weeks. Then finish it off with your equals:

    5+45x=y

    Y is the total amount of money.

    The Equation will be.

    5+45x=y

    Part 2:

    The equation is set up on weeks so you need to find out how many weeks 28 days is.

    28/7=4

    Now that you know that you can substitute 4 for x.

    5+45*4=y

    5+180=y

    185=y

    He will have 185 dollars in his bank.
