A swimsuit is on sale at a 20% discount. if it normally sells for $64.99, what is the sale price?

    So first you multiple the price of the item which is $64.99 times. 2

    You multiple it by. 2 because you have to take the discount amount which is 20% and move the decimal over two places to the left

    (64.99) (.2) = 12.99 this answer is how much of a discount you get

    with that answer you are going to take the original number $64.99-12.99 = $52

    so your swimsuit will cost $52
