    To find the circumference of a circle, you have to follow this method:

    circumference=pi*d (diameter)

    value of pi is 3.14 rounded, but in questions they'll tell you the value mostly as

    'use pi=something', in here we'll use 3.14.

    question - diameter of a circle is 3cm. what's it's circumference.

    c=3.14*3 = 9.42cm (answer)

    to find the area of a circle:

    area=pi * radius squared

    question - the radius of a circle is 2cm. what's it's area?

    a=3.14*2squared

    a=12.56cm2 (answer)

    hope you will understand
