Mr Obrien is paid 7.30 per hour for the first 40 hours he works in a week. He is paid 1.5 times that rate for each hour after that. Last week he worked 44 hours. He said he earned 321.20 last week. Do you agree? Support your answer.

    7.30 x 40 = 292.00

    7.30 x 1.5 = 43.80

    292.00 + 43.80 = 335.80

    No, he really earned $335.80 last week.
