All in all, 1 red marble and 2 white marbles have been removed from the back which leaves us with 4 white marbles, 3 red marble, and 8 black marbles. Therefore, the changes of picking a black marble is:

    8 / (4+3+8) = 0.5333 or 53.33%

There is a 53.33% chance that a black marble is picked.
