8 gallons per 210 miles = 210/8 = 26.25 miles per gallon

650 - 210 = 440 miles left to travel

440/26.25 = 16.76 gallons

or

8/210 = x/440

cross multiply

210x = 3520

x = 3520/210

x = 16.76 gallons
