Mrs. Aster wants to plant a vegetable garden on a plot of land that is on the shape of a rectangle. The length of the garden is 12 feet and the area is 96 square feet.     first you find the length of garden using area=lw formula - > w=8 ft

    find perimeter of garden

    p = 2l + 2w - > 40 ft

    subtract 3 ft for the gate

    40ft - 3ft = 37ft

    need to find 37ft of fencing

    37ft * 17.31 = $640.47

    add that to the price for the gate

    $640.47 + $129.89 = $770.36
