So the answer is : 5y + 10 = 6y + 3

5y - 6y + 10 = 3

-y = 3-10

-y = - 7 Now you are looking for y not - y so you have to multiply or divide both side by (-1). It will be:

(-1) - y = (-1) - 7

So:
