To find these measurements, just multiply.

    20 x 20 = 400 x 18 = 7200 in.

    40 x 12 = 480 x 12 = 5760 in.

So, the first aquarium is larger.

    Subtract to find the difference.

    7200 - 5760 = 1440 in.
