Alright, so we have a 6 foot tall man, just staring at the top of a flagpole. This dude is 50 feet from the base of the flagpole.

The thing to do here is simply multiply 50tan (39) to get 40.489. The dude is 6ft. tall so add 6 to that answer and we get a lovely 46.49. The flagpole is 46.49ft tall.
