    So we need to cancel out one of the placeholders

    lets cancel out he y terms

    3x+2y=22

    5x+3y=35

    multply first equation by 3 and second by - 2

    9x+6y=66

    -10x-6y=7=-70

    add them together

    9x-10x+6y-6y=66-70

    -x=-4

    multipoly - 1

    x=4

    subsitute

    3 (4) + 2y=22

    12+2y=22

    subtract 12

    2y=10

    divide 2

    y=5

    x=4

    y=5
