    Ok so because on the first day he rode 2 miles then on the second he rode 2.4 miles. He increased his distance by. 4 miles, then on the 3rd day he rode 3.2 miles that means he just increased it by. 8 then it increases by 1.6. this increase is x2 each time he goes back to ride. so doing it the long way u would get

    1=2

    +.4

    2=2.4

    +.8

    3=3.2

    +1.6

    4=4.8

    +3.2

    5=8

    +6.4

    6=14.4

    +12.8

    7=27.2
