Jared and David both sell air conditioning units, but they work for two different companies. Each month, Jared earns a base pay of $1,001 plus an extra $75.55 for each unit he sells. David's monthly pay includes his base pay of $750 and a commission of $125.75 for each AC unit he sells. In March of last year, Jared and David sold the exact same number of AC units, and their paychecks were both for the same amount
