The length of a rectangle is three times its width. if the perimeter of the rectangle is 40 cm find its area

    3w+3w+w+w=8w ... 40/8=5 ... w=5 l (3w) = 15 ... 5x15=75 so the area is 75

    Divide 40 by 4 = 10 3 times the width of the length = 30 30 times 10 = 300
