You can tell that the equal share is more than 1 whole when the numerator is greater than the denominator. How? As we all know that in order to convert a fraction to a decimal number, we need to divide the numerator by the denominator. Now, if the numerator is less than the denominator, expect that the digit is now less than 1 whole. But if the numerator is greater than the denominator, for sure, it is more than 1 whole for example.=> 5/4, where 5 is the numerator and 4 is the denominator = > 1 and 1/4 or 1.25
