John and O'Neal are playing a board game in which they roll two number cubes. John needs to get a sum of 8 on the number cubes to win. O'Neal needs a sum of 11. If they take turns rolling the number cube, who is more likely to win?

    John is more likely to win since he only needs a sum of 8 while O'Neal needs a sum of 11. Within 2 rolls both could win, but O'Neal would need to roll at least one 6 and either a 5 or 6 to win in two turns while John could roll a 2 and 6, 3 and 5, 4 and 4 and so on. John has a wider range of numbers he could roll to win
