    I guess f (x) should be f (g)

    f (g) = 3g-5

    f (-1.5) = 3 (-1.5) - 5 = - 9

    f (2) = 3 (2) - 5 = 1

    f (4) = 3 (4) - 5 7

In short you replace the value of g (the domaine) to find f (x) the range
