To get the difference of how many more kg the aircraft carrier has than the freight train you need to make both scientific notations of the masses the same. We will make both exponents into 10^5 so, the mass of the aircraft carrier is 7.3 x 10^7 or 730 x 10^5 while the mass of the freight train is 9.98 x 10^6 or 99.8 x 10^5. Knowing the exponent will be 10^5, simply subtract 730 with 99.8 = 630.2. The answer is 630.2 x 10^5.
