Probability is total desired outcomes over total possible outcomes.

    6 outcomes on die #1: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

    6 outcomes on die #2: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

    6 x 6 = 36 possible outcomes.

    How many ways to make 8? 2,6; 6,2; 3,5; 5,3; 4,4; 4,4

Remember, each pair is different since there are two dice.

Therefore, 8/36 probability of rolling an 8.
