I am doing algebra 1 and this is new to me.

2 (x-9) + 6 (-x+2) + 4

How would you work this problem out?

    2 (x - 9) + 6 (-x + 2) + 4

    2 (x) - 2 (9) + 6 (-x) + 6 (2) + 4

    2x - 18 - 6x + 12 + 4

    2x - 6x - 18 + 16

    -4x - 2
