    Write an equation.

    T = Total money made

    M = miles driven

    4 + 2.25m

    T = 7.3*2.25 + 4 + 2.25*4.8 + 4

    T = 8 + 7.3*2.25 + 2.25 * 4.8

    4.8 * 2.25 = 10.8

    7.3 * 2.25 = 16.425

    T = 16.425 + 8 + 10.8

    T = 35.225

    So, the total amount of money he made was $35.25.
