    In y = mx + b form, the slope is in the m position

    so lets put ur equation in y = mx + b form ...

    8x - 6y = 1

    -6y = - 8x + 1

    y = (-8/-6) x + (1/-6)

    y = 4/3x - 1/6 ... so ur slope is 4/3
