Jamaal buys his clothes at Super Discounts. On Saturday, he bought shoes regularly priced at $40 for 25% off, and a jacket regularly priced at $100 for 30% off. Including a 6% sales tax, what total amount will Jamaal pay?

    $40-100%

    $ x - 75%

    100x=3000

    x=$30

    100-30=70%

    $100-100%

    $ y - 70%

    100y=7000

    y=$70

    total: x+y=70+30=$100

    + sales tax

    100% + 6%=106%

    $ z - 106%

    10600=100z

    z=$106
