    Given the equqation

    W = 2H + 13

    where

    W is the weight in lb

    H is the height in inches

    If the height of a person is 5 ft 6 in, we must first convert it to inches. So,

    H = 5 (12) + 6

    H = 66 in

    The body weight then is,

    W = 2 (66) + 13

    W = 145 lbs
