    X/600 = 8.5%

    x/600 =.085

    600 (x/600) = 600 (.085)

    x = 600 (0.85)

    x = 51

    Any further questions on how to do it?

    51 workers ar in the union because 600 times 0.085 (percent as decminal) is 51. Doing this will tell you what 85% of 600 is which is 51 workers
