Write an inequality.

A cold wave hit Chicago when the temp. hit 62 degrees. During the cold wave, the temp. dropped 2 degrees every hour. How many hours was it before the temp. was below 40 degrees?

    62-2h <40 because you start with 62 degrees. As each hour passes, you take away two more degrees. Proceed to do this until you get below 40
