A boy had a box of animal crackers. He counted them out and found 20 cookies.

7 elephant cookies 6 tiger cookies 5 monkey cookies 2 zebra cookies Suppose the boy put all the cookies back into the box and took 1 out without looking.

What is the probability of him choosing ... An elephant? A tiger? A monkey? A zebra? Does the sum of the probabilities a, b, c and d equal 1?

    7/20 for elephant 3/10 for tiger 1/4 for monkey and 1/10 for zebra

    Yes, they all do add up to 1.
