A roofer calculates his bid price using the formula P = 1.85s + 4.2f, where s is the area of the roof in square feet and f is the length of the fascia in feet. Find the area of the roof with 190 feet of fascia and a price of $4,148. Round to the nearest square foot.

    When u set this equation up u get 4,148=1.85s+4.2 (190) then u do 4.2 times 190 and u get 798 then your equation turns to be 4,148=1.85s+798. after u get that u - 798 from 4,148 and get 3,359 and u bring the rest down and get 3,359=1.85s once u get that u divide 1.85 from 3,359 and u get 1,815.68 if you round.
