Caleb wants to rent a kayak. Kayak rentals cost $14.50 for a half hour. If caleb rents a kayak for one hour and forty-five minutes, how much will it cost him?

    It would cost $14.50 for half an hour so:

    14.50 x 3 = 43.5 since 3 would represent 1 and a half hour.

    The 15 minutes would be half of 14.50 which would be 7.25

    So 43.5 + 7.25 = $50.75
