A particular shade of paint is made by mixing five parts red paint with seven parts blue paint. To make the shade Shannon mixed 12 quarts of blue paint with a quarts of red paint. Did Shannon mix this correct shade? Explain.

    The paint raport in the first case is 5 red/7 blue

    in the second is 12 : 1.12 quarts with 1 quart.

    these raports have to be equal 5/7 is not equal to 12:1
