Another customer buys 4 T-shirts and 1 pair of shorts for $50. How much is

one T-shirt (t), and one pair of shorts (s) ?

    16t + 4s = $200

    3t + 4s = $83 (minus them£

    13t = $117 (divide by 13)

    t = $9

    sub t into first equation.

    3 x 9 = 27

    27 + 4s = $83

    4s = $56

    s = $14

    t = $9

    s = $14
