The perimeter of a rectangular garden is 68 feet. If the length of the garden is 1 foot more than

2 times the width, what is the length of the garden?

    P = 2L+2W

    L = 2W + 1

    W = 2W

    68 = 2 (2w + 1) + 2W

    68 = 4W + 2 2w

    66 = 6w

    Length = 23 ft

    Width = 11 ft
