Architect made a model of a triangular office building using a scale of 1.5 inches equals 5 meters if the height of the model is 9 inches and the area of the actual building is 75 square meters what is the base of the actual

building

    scale = 1.5" : 5m

    scale height, sh = 9"

    actual height, ah = (9/1.5) * 5 = 30m

    actual area, aa = 75m^2

    actual base, ab = 2aa/ah = 2*75/30 = 5

    scale base, sb = 5/5 * 1.5 = 1.5"
