A plot of land contains a 16-ft-by-20-ft garden, which is surrounded by a 2-ft wide wall on all sides. What is the perimeter of the entire plot of land?

    Width of plot = 20 + 4 = 24 ft,

    So, the perimeter of the entire plot = 2 (length + width)

    = 2 (20 + 24)

    = 88 ft
