    So, x^2 + 14 x + 49 - 4 = 0;

    Then, we use the formula (a + b) ^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2;

    We have (x + 7) ^2 - 2^2 = 0;

    Then, (x + 7) ^2 - 2^2 = 0;

    We use the formula a^2 - b^2 = (a - b) (a + b);

    We obtain (x + 5) (x + 9) = 0;

    Then, x + 5 = 0;

    x = - 5;

    x + 9 = 0;

    x = - 9;

    -5 and - 9 are the zeros of the quadratic function.
