there are two identical glasses. one glass is 5/6 full. the other is 3/4 full. water is poured from one glass to the other so that one of them is now full. what fraction of the other glass is filed?

    because the water was poured to the other glass so it means that we are adding

    = 5/6 + 3/4

    ={ (2*5) + (3*3) }/12

    that 12 is due to LCM of 6 and 4

    ={ 10 + 9 }/12

    = 19/12

    = 1 7/12
