    get the equation in slope intercept form

    2x-3y=9

    subtract 2x from each side

    -3y = - 2x + 9

    divide by - 3

    y = 2/3 x - 3

    slope = 2/3

    y intercept = - 3

    x intercept set y=0 and solve

    0 = 2/3 x - 3

    add 3 to each side

    3 = 2/3 x

    multiply each side by 3/2

    9/2 = x

    the x intercept is 9/2 or 4 1/2

    Y=mx+b

    y = (2x-9) / 3

    y = (2/3) x-3

    slope (m) = 2/3

    finding x-intercept ...

    if y=0

    2x-3 (0) = 9

    x=9/2

    finding y-intercept ...

    if x=0

    2 (0) - 3y=9

    y=-3
