If you find the least common denominator and look at them like that it shows which is bigger.

    common denominator=12

    1/3=4/12

    7/12=7/12

    2/3=8/12

therefore 2/3 is larger than 7/12 but 1/3 is smaller

Ok, So first you will find the Common Denominator, that would be 12. Then rewrite it: 7/12, 4/12, and 8/12. Now you can see that 7/12 is 3/12 more than 1/3 and 1/12 less than 2/3!
