    Given

    (ax, ay) = (4, 2)

    (bx, by) = (-2, - 5)

    c = a + b

    Find

    c

    Solution

    cx = ax + bx = 4 + (-2) = 2

    cy = ay + by = 2 + (-5) = - 3

    Vector c is (2, - 3).
