A data set has a median of 89, and four of the numbers in the data set are less than median. The data set contains a total of n numbers. If n is even, and none of the numbers in the data set is equal to 89, what is the value of n?

    This data set looks like the following:

    a, b, c, d, 88,90. e, f, g, h

    Since n is even, the median is the average of 88 & 90, that is (88+90) / 2 = 89

    so n = 10
