    X=4 because if f (2) = 3x-1 that means that x=2 will replace x in the equation so 3 (2) = 6 6-1=5. Then both need to equal to 5 so you need to do the he reverse of equations 5+3=8 and 2x=8 and 8:4=2. I know I didnt explained quite perfectly but I know x=4.

    f (x) = 3x - 1

    g (x) = 2x - 3

    g (x) = f (2)

    g (x) = 3.2 - 1

    g (x) = 6 - 1

    g (x) = 5

    If g (x) = 5, then, 2x - 3 = 5

    2x - 3 = 5

    2x = 5 + 3

    2x = 8

    x = 8/2

    x = 4

    So,

    f (2) = g (4)
