Well, to solve this we need to know how much Dylan has. We know Jacob has 5 more and Bryce has 4 times Jacob's. So not much progress there. Let's take the 43 and divide it into 3. You get 14.33333333 ... (Repeating) So that is how much each boy would have. Subtract 5 from that number, to get 9.333333 ... That is Jacobs number. Then, Jacob now has 19.3333333333. X 5 is 95. So that didn't work ... So let's take this one step at a time and figure out how much Dylan has. He will be the hardest because he is where we start. So, for now let's say Dylan has all 43 games. Half it and subtract 5 from Dylan. Now we know Jacob has 16.5 games. This tells us Dylan has 11.5 games. Next, well we can just add theirs together and assume Bryce has the rest. 16.5 + 11.5 is 28. 43 - 28 is 15. Now we know THAT doesn't work. So, We still know we need to find Dylan first ... Well ... As before let's give Dylan all 43. Instead of cutting it in half, let's say Jacob has 38 games. This would mean Dylan has 5, which would be wrong. So instead, Let's say Dylan has, 10 games. Jacob has 15. 15 x 4 is 60, so too big. Let's give Dylan 5 and Jacob 10. 10 x 4 is 40, so we need to go slightly higher. Let's give Dylan 6, and Jacob 11. 11 x 4 is 44 so now we are too high. Now let's try giving Dylan 5.5 and Jacob 10.5. Well, now 10.5 x 4 is 42. Too low again. So, let's try giving Dylan 5.75 and Jacob 10.75. 10.75 x 4 is 43. However, adding it all together and you get 33. Not 43. So, let's start with Bryce. Let's say Bryce has all 43 games. 43 divided by 4 would be how much Jacob has. Well, that would be 10.75. Let's add 5.75 with 10.75 to get 16.5. 43 - 16.5 would be how much Bryce has. So, Bryce has 26.5.

Dylan has 5.75, Jacob has 10.75, and Bruce has 26.5. Let's check. 10.75 x 4 is 43. So the equation would be (5.75+5) x 4 = 43. (This took like 20 minutes to type up)
