    Addition and multiplication are commutative properties. Changing the order of the numbers in the operation does not change the answer. 2 + 3 = 5; 3 + 2 = 5 and 2 x 3 = 6, 3 x 2 = 6

If this is what you mean, you can make x+5, 5+X and you get the same sum because the order in which the addends in an addition equation have no effect on the answer. For example, 2+3 is 5 and 3+2 is 5. 9+2 is 11, and 2+9 is 11.
