Find the value of y when x equals 20 - 2x+4y=-4

    Answer = y = 9

    Simplify both sides of the equation

    4y-40=-4

    add 40 to both sides

    4y - 40 + 40=-4 + 40

    4y = 36

    divide both sides by 4

    4y/4 = 36/4

    36/4 = y=9
