    If he needs 30 feet, and can only buy multiples of 3 feet, he needs to see how many times 3 goes into 30. And since 30/3 is 10, he needs to get 10 yards of rope (or 10 times 3 feet).

    3 feet ... 1 yard

    30 feet ... x yards

    x = (30•1) / 3

    x = 30/3

    x = 10 yards
