Julio and Jake start their reading assignments the same day. Jake is reading a 152-page-book at a rate of 18 pages per day. Julio′s book is 210 pages long and his reading rate is 1 1/2 times Jake′s rate. After 7 days, who will have more pages left to read? How many more?

    Jake = 18 x 7

    Jake = 126

    Julio = 18 (1.5) x 7

    Julio = 27 x 7

    Julio = 189

    Jake = 152 - 126 = 26

    Julio = 210 - 189 = 21

    26 - 21 = 5

    After 7 days, Jake will have 5 more pages left to read than Julio.
