    (A). the correct solution is = 2x+4=10

    2x=10-4 (Collection of terms).

    2x=6 (Divide by the coefficient of the unknown (x).

    : 2x/2=6/2

    x=3

    (B). the mistake oliver made was that he added the equation instead of subtracting it = 10+4, instead of 10-4. before dividing.
