    one solution : (-2; - 7)

    Step-by-step explanation:

    hello:

    x - y = 5 ... (*)

    - 3 x + y = - 1 ... (**)

    by (*) : y=x-5

    by (**) : y = 3x-1

    3x-1 = x - 5

    3x-x=-5+1

    2x = - 4

    x = - 2

    but : y = x-5 so : y = - 2-5=-7

    one solution : (-2; - 7)
