If we know that 2 angles are complements of each other, then they add up to 90 degrees. Knowing this, if we know that the complement of an angle X has an angle value that is 3 times greater, we can write that as such: X + 3X = 90 = > 4X = 90. We solve for X to get: 22.5 degrees.
