In the last two weeks of a sale, prices are reduced first by 30% and then by a further 40% of the new price. What is the final sale price of a shirt which originally costs $15?

    15 x. 30 = 4.50 discount 15-4.50 = 10.50

    10.50 x. 40 = 4.20

    Final cost of shirt 10.50-4.20 = $6.30
